It was reliable enough to use (but not 100%) when the power supply was not connected. I wanted to use it for an ethernet dongle and for a Fedora installation USB stick. I don't want to spend the time debugging it.

  • I have a device that connects a USB C power supply and a USB A device to a USB C power input.
  • If so, it would be better to make the screen larger rather than the bezels large. Maybe making them smaller would force the keyboard to be crowded. It isn't stable on my lap (where other 10" devices do work). Placing it on a desk leaves it (or any 10" screen) too far away. You cannot hold the device in one hand and type with the other.

The kickstand mechanism is not as usable as clamshell. Maybe it can be freed from its case-with-kickstand but it doesn't seem easy

  • the tablet, when separated from the keyboard, is heavy.
  • I like the ChromeOS OSK that takes only space that it uses and can be dragged around.
  • The OSK takes up the bottom portion of the screen without using the left or right parts, using way too much of the screen.
  • I want them available for other applications, like FireFox.
  • The OSK only shows CTRL arrow keys, etc.

  • Gnome's on-screen-keyboard isn't good enough for tablet use (not the Duet's fault).
  • once in a while (under Windows or Linux) a spacebar press doesn't register (probably my particular unit).
  • I can live with that since it is easy to set the rotation you want
  • I don't think that Linux sees an accelerometer: there is no /dev/iio:device*.
  • It might be possible to debug this but I'm not inclined to spend the time. I only got around to installing Fedora 37 Gnome this weekend. I have no use for Windows on a tablet but most devices that come with Windows are great platforms for Linux. I intend to use it to edit RAW photos when on vacation and it's small and light. The only thing I haven't figured out is if the screen auto rotates. I also tried Fedora Gnome but touch screen didn't work too well so I switched back. I got one and immediately installed Manjaro Gnome (Linux) on it.
